Since redsn0w was released, Hackulo.us had already AppSync in its repository. AppSync is the new miPatch or if you want the miPatch 3.0. But it’s not only a replacment for the MobileInstallation, it’s a whole installer for the patch. So you need to reboot your iPhone and have to WAIT!
Requirements
- iPhone with Firmware 3.0
- Jailbreak
- Cydia
This howto is only for your iPhone 3G and/or iPod Touch! Don’t try it with iPhone 3G S – you won’t find any Jailbreak for it.
- Open Cydia and go to Manage –> Sources
- Add a new source: Edit -> Add ->
http://cydia.hackulo.us-> Add source - You have to approve the warning message, which Cydia displays – it’s only says, that Hackulo is ilegal.
- Now go to search and look for appsync.
- AppSync is a really new Tool – so be careful when you install it. It would be a good idea to make a backup befor you continue. Some guys reported, that they had to reinstall their iPhone with the DFU mode.
- After the installation, you must reboot your iPhone! Now wait! I can’t say it enough! Just wait, it could take some minutes… I also thought my iPhone is broken, but it’s running up and happy
It could also be, that your iPhone homescreen is black for a while.
Now you can install Apps from Appulo.us or Installous – I synced my iPhone with iTunes and after 5 minutes I got my Apps back.
Now have fun!

hackulo doesn't have 3.0 appsync anymore. Do you know any other spots or places that will have it? I had just upgraded my ipod to 3.0, and then I see that they don't have it. I was so angry. And I can't upgrade to 3.1 cause most of my games can only go to 3.0. I just can't win.

Well, first: normaly games should be able to run under 3.0 as well under 3.1! If you really really need to stay at 3.0, check the Repositorys of xSellize: xsellize.com
Register and add their repo as you would add one of my howtos – then you should be able to find also the older patches.

Yeah. I figured it out last night. Thanks! I feel stupid for asking. I got confused, thinking '3.0' and later, meant anything older than 3.0. I upgraded to 3.1.2 and I got the appsync, and now the games work perfectly.
